1. Scope
This AI & Data Policy explains how Thanis processes and handles text you submit for analysis, including drafts, prompts, and uploaded content (“User Content”).
2. Definitions
User Content: Text you submit to Thanis (drafts, prompts, excerpts).
Output: The analysis, scoring, feedback, and structured responses Thanis returns based on your User Content.
Basic (free access): Use of Thanis on the free Basic plan.
Paid plans: The Academic, Writer Pro, and Executive plans. Each is a separate sibling product; no paid plan includes another.
3. Ownership: “Your words are yours alone, always.”
- You retain 100% ownership of your User Content.
- You retain 100% ownership of your Output.
- Thanis claims no authorship of your work and does not use your work to build a public corpus.
4. The Non-Training Guarantee
We do not use your content or Thanis outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. This includes:
- internal model tuning,
- vendor model training, and
- any “learning from your prompts” features.
5. Storage by plan
Basic (free access)
- Basic is designed for limited use with recent history only. It does not include long-term storage.
- Processing is transient. We aim to avoid retaining prompt text in logs.
- If prompt text is captured incidentally in an error report, we delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
Paid plans (Academic, Writer Pro, Executive)
- We store your drafts and outputs so you can use the saves, history, and review features your plan supports. How much history each plan includes is shown at thanis.ai/pricing.
- Stored content is encrypted at rest and protected by access controls.
- You can delete stored content at any time from within the product.
6. Deletion: your control
When you delete documents or history items, we delete them from active systems. We do not keep deleted content for “future training” or “research.”
7. Limited human access
We do not routinely review your drafts. Limited authorized access may occur when you ask for support and access is necessary to resolve the issue, when access is necessary to resolve a technical problem, or when required by law. Access is restricted and logged.
8. Security posture (high level)
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, least-privilege access controls, and audit logging for administrative actions.
9. Policy changes
If we materially change this policy, we will update the Effective Date and post the updated version on thanis.ai.
